Projects
A collection of tools and projects related to weather, aviation, geospatial data, data visualization, and software development.
Personal Work
The works in this section were developed on my own time with my own resources.
WxAnalysis
An interactive surface weather analysis tool for exploring current weather data. The internet has a lot of great websites for exploring model data, but not a lot for current data. They either lack customizable geographic views, have limited geographic extent, or rely too heavily on model analysis. This tool leans entirely on surface observations for drawing its analysis while also having options to view live National Weather Service watches and warnings, Multi-Radar Multi-Sensor (MRMS) data, GOES satellite data, and much more. Observations can also be viewed by flight category with decoded METAR options also available. Built using Codex AI and hosted by Railway. Available on my GitHub.
Professional Work for NOAA/NWS
The works below were developed as part of my work with NOAA/NWS. Source code is not publicly available.
FAA NASR Geo Builder
An automated pipeline for transforming FAA National Airspace System Resources (NASR) data into GIS-ready products. This project retrieves the latest publicly available 28-day updates for ARTCC boundaries, airports, and runways, generates shapefiles and GeoJSON outputs, and tracks changes between updates.
Project role: lead developer and project manager.

Enhancements to AutoTCF
Upgraded the Aviation Weather Center's (AWC) first guess Traffic Flow Management Convective Forecast (TCF) product (AutoTCF) to replace legacy model inputs (WRF-ARW and NAM Nest) with Rapid Refresh Forecast System (RRFS) and the Rapid Ensemble Forecast System (REFS). The algorithm for how the product uses the High Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) was also upgraded.
Project role: co-lead for project management and development
